Miami Mayor: Ultra Is Here To Stay On Virginia Key

Mayor’s comments start at 06:34 into video

City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez tells reporters that he hopes the Ultra Music Festival has found a permanent home on Virginia Key, March 27, 2019.

“This venue is much more appropriate, it’s much better,” Suarez said. “It’s much better for residents of the City of Miami,” he said. He said that sound engineers would be starting tests in Brickell to make sure there were no sound-related issues. Ultra, he said, is “part of our D.N.A.”

Ultra is set to start Friday

Pardon Mr. Mayor, can you wait until the concert is over to a positive opinion!?
Let’s hope there are no accidents or harm to the environment apart for inconveniencing us Key Biscayne residents, real estate agents and State and County park taxpayers and visitors that cannot enjoy the islands this week end.

Come on

He never says, “Ultra is here to stay on Virginia Key,” or even implies it.

RE: Ultra Music Festival 2019, Virginia Key

Complaint # 999999++++++

Hi,

I live at 801 Brickell Bay Drive. Unfortunately, I do not have hurricane glass windows.

I have heard constant Boom Box type pounding, to the point that my windows rattle.

Last night, Saturday March 30th, it went on until past 2:30 AM. It is now 11:45 PM on Sunday evening, and the noise and lights are never ending. People on Brickell have to go to work on Monday….

Can you please send these people to Homestead next year, or out in the Everglades, with the alligators.

Please, I can’t sleep with all this noise.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.

Sincerely,

Lillian A. Harrison
