An Update from the Village of Key Biscayne

Public Announcement: Village of Key Biscayne Navigating Through COVID-19–As a Village

Sunday, March 22, 2020

Good evening, Residents,

The Village of Key Biscayne would like to share with you some updates given recent developments over the weekend:

1. In response to the Miami Herald article referencing two confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Key, the Village has not received any notification from official health authorities regarding COVID-19 confirmed cases within the Village. We are verifying this news and will continue to update you on this developing story.

2. Effective 12:01 a.m. tonight, March 23, 2020, the Village of Key Biscayne will issue an Emergency Order for non-resident travel restriction. The order will be shared with you in a subsequent Village Connect email. Please be on the lookout.

3. Yesterday March 22, 2020 effective 11:59 p.m., Miami-Dade County issued an Emergency Order closing all marinas to all boating activities, with the exception of commercial fishermen who provide food for restaurants and markets.

As information about COVID-19 is changing minute-by-minute, the Village of Key Biscayne understands communication and community engagement is critical. We are sharing the latest with you in real-time.

Thank you for navigating an unprecedented issue of enormous scale and human impact with us, together, as one Village. #KBStayHome
